The Beauty Glühwein Session + Concerts + Moshpit Ramp + Cheap Booze

Hell Yeah! We are doing it again. An awesome Glühwein Session at the Beauty. Everyone is invited for some gnarly concrete! We do it on friday the 13th, starting at 19.00!

We start very mellow with a Beauty Session with Glühwein and hot Soup. Later in that beautiful night, we have two awesome bands playing and worlds first Moshpit Microramp!

Don't miss it. You will regret it otherwise!

A fading Beauty II

Time passes slowly. But the end is near, and the Beauty will be gone soon.

We are busy right now, shooting photos, filming lines to preserve this Paradise a little bit. Just to be able to remember it, in harsh winter nights.

A fading Beauty

Ok, the last months of the Beauty have arrived. The whole squat will be demolished in 2014, so we skate there at the moment as much as we can.

Nostalgia Part II: Mircos Noseblunt

Last Night, we were at the Premiere of the 10 Years "Safari" Movie. It's pretty good, pure street, but a small portion of Sihlside and The Beast is in it.

They also released a book about the 10 years of Safari. And the Beast's very own and talented Mirco got a nice shot of Sihlside in it. The fabolous Noseblunt. If I remember correctly, the photographer, Alan, had to lick the coping after this went down. The Coping. In Sihlside. Halleluja.

Sommerfest at the Beast - FULL RECAP

Vergangenes Wochenende war das Züri Fäscht…

Doch zahlreiche Skateboardfreunde trafen sich am Samstag zu einem wohl viel besseren Fest…
Das Beast in der Hardturmbrache lud zu einer unvergesslichen Session ein.
Das Wetter war perfekt, 27°, das Stadtvolk war beschäftigt und das Feuerwerk bereit… Alles war angerichtet für das Beast Sommerfest 2013.

Fussballhelden in der Hardturmbrache
Am späteren Nachmittag trafen sich die Zürcher D.I.Y Jungs auf dem kleinen Fussballfeld in der Brache. Dort standen die Basler D.I.Y Helden gegenüber. Ein symbolischer Akt gegen das geplante Hardturmstadion. Dieses hochkarätige Spiel zeigte, dass kein überdimensionaler Steuergeldschlucker gebaut werden muss, um eine packende Fussballpartie abzuhalten.

Der Ball rollte während 2 x 20 min. Ein vielversprechender Start in den Match zeigten beide Seiten. Das Spiel war über die ganze Zeit sehr ausgeglichen. Nicht nur auf dem Skateboard zeigten die einen oder anderen ihr können. Nein, ich glaube sogar, da hat sich ein Talent verirrt… Ein Do it Yourself Mann war beidfüssig sehr stark unterwegs. 1 Tor und ein Penalty (verwechslung mit dem Goalie) leistete der Initiator Nicolas Büchi selber bei. Nicolas, was hältst Du von einer Fussballkarriere??? Das Spiel endete 6:6… (Was sonst???)

Nach dem Schweisstreibenden Start in den Abend wurden die Fussballschuhe ausgezogen und mit den Vans getauscht… Das Beast wartete. Es formierte sich eine unvergessliche Session im roten Schmuckstück. Hoher Besuch aus allen Ecken der Schweiz und das nahe Ausland waren angereist. Die Skate-Bier- Vernichtungsmaschinerie lief auf hochtouren. Die Jungs pushten sich zu aussergewöhnlichen Runs und verrückten Combos. Mit der kräftigen Unterstützung der beiden Bands “Liberty Valentine” und “Osaka Tiger Frosties” zeigte sich der Himmel in einem perfekten Abendrot. Bis tief in die Nacht wurde geskatet. Natürlich durfte das Bier nicht fehlen… Nicht fehlen? Nicht ausgehen! Leider gab es einen kleinen Bieröffnungsunterbruch… Durch den grossen Andrang auf das Kühle Blonde ging kurze Zeit das Gold aus. Daoch man wusste sich zu helfen. Einige Zeit später war alles wieder bereit um das Sommerfest weiterzuführen… Und dem “Züri Fäscht” den Mittelfinger und das richtige Feuerwerk zu zeigen….
