The Amazing Opening of The Beauty

Yesterday night we were glad to celebrate the opening of the last and final part of the Beauty. We worked now for over a year on it, but now, our winterspot is safe, heated and awesome to skate!

A good mix from Basel, Lugano, Glarus, Luzern, Belgium and Germany came for the session and the Video Premiere of our Summer Tour Vid!

Hot Wine, ghetto fires and some death metal is definetly the ingredients for an incredible skate night!

thanks everyone for showing up, it was so nice!

The Beast wins the swiss design award 2012

Nearly unbelivable but true.

Yesterday, the Beast Boys had the honour to go to the Award Ceremony of the "Hochparterre" Magazine, which is the organizer of the swiss design prizes. We we're nominated in the category Landscape design, together with the other projects of the former soccer stadium.

And yes, we won the "Silberner Hase", which means second place.

Winning this prize is great, the city has now to look closer what is happening at the Beast, considering more support. (We still don't have electricity). Also, the culture of DIY projects is now presented to a far bigger community, as the Beast is featured on a spread page in the "Hochparterre" Magazine, which is simply said an architecture porn mag.

We thank everyone for supporting The Beast. PRAISE THE BEAST!!!

And here the link to the Hochparterre: http://www.hochparterre.ch/diebesten/post/detail/das-sind-die-besten-2012/

The exhibited sculpture, representing the Beast and the different projects in the soccer stadium.

The official photo which was used at the award ceremony. Was this your intern? Seriously Hochparterre? You are a design & architecture mag, and you come up with this photo? SHOWING TWO SCOOTER KIDS?

The spread page in the mag. Hase in Silber means Rabbit in Silver. Just to let you know.

Beast Boys and the Rabbit.

Michael Emmenegger, coordinator of the whole project at the stadium! Thank you for trusting us and letting us build a "skateable art sculpture"

Thanks Hochparterre.

Why we really were there.

The look from the stage to the audience during the award ceremony. Real rabbits.

And for all of you, who are courious what we really did, here again our movie:
